The Fédération Malagasy de Football is the national football association of the African state of Madagascar .

The association was founded in 1961 and joined FIFA in 1964 . In March 2008 the association was dissolved by the government.

At the beginning of March 2008, several hundred football fans devastated the Stade Municipal de Mahamasina in the capital Antananarivo , whereupon the football association was disbanded by the Madagascan Sports Minister Patrick Ramiaramanana in response to this incident. The association president called on FIFA. The government let an ultimatum to immediately withdraw the dissolution of the national association decided on March 9th and to let the elected board work again. On March 19, 2008, FIFA President Sepp Blatter announced the immediate expulsion of the Fédération Malagasy de Football from FIFA. After the Malagasy government lifted the association's dissolution, FIFA decided on May 19, 2008 to lift the association's suspension.
