The Malagasy national soccer team , also called "Barea" ( dialectal name for the local humpback cattle ), is the national soccer team of Madagascar . It is managed by the Fédération Malagasy de Football and has never participated in a world championship. In 2019 , the team took part in an African Championship for the first time and was surprisingly only eliminated in the quarter-finals.
