The Botswana national football team , known as The Zebras ("The Zebras") is the football selection team of Botswana and is controlled by the Botswana Football Association.
Botswana has never participated in the World Cup before. The greatest success was qualifying for the 2012 Africa Cup . The qualification succeeded u. a. with a 1-0 away win against Tunisia on July 1, 2010. Botswana lost all three games in the finals in Gabon and Equatorial Guinea . The 1: 6 defeat against Guinea on January 28, 2012 was the first defeat with 5 goals difference at an African Cup in 42 years.
