Peter Schnittger

Peter Schnittger (born May 22, 1941 in Hann. Münden ) is a German football coach .

Life

From 1968, Schnittger worked for the German Society for Technical Cooperation . On their behalf, he promoted sporting development in developing countries. In addition to activities as a national coach, he was also active in the context of infrastructure measures and youth development.

At his first coaching station, he reached the semi-finals of the Africa Cup with the Ivorian national soccer team . The following year he won the African Cup as coach of the Cameroonian club Canon Yaoundé . Schnittger held his only coaching station outside of Africa as Thailand's national coach from 1976 to 1978 after he broke off his commitment to the Ethiopian association due to the civil war there.

Schnittger worked for various football associations in Africa and Thailand.
