Sabri Lamouchi (born November 9, 1971 in Lyon ) is a former football player and current coach. The former French footballer played in defensive midfield .
His parents moved from Tunisia to France in 1969 .

National team
Lamouchi made 12 appearances and one goal for the French national team ; he played his first game in the A-Elf on January 24, 1996 in a 3-2 win over Portugal . For the 1998 World Cup he was included in the provisional squad by Aimé Jacquet . But he is not part of the final squad for the tournament.
Coaching career
On May 28, 2012 Lamouchi succeeded François Zahoui as the national coach of the Ivory Coast . Lamouchi, whose contract ran until the 2014 World Cup, did not renew and left the association on June 30, 2014.
For the 2017/18 season he took over the Ligue 1 team from Stade Rennes from Christian Gourcuff . With Rennes, he has made his first entry into a European competition since 2011 . In 14th place, he was released from his duties on December 3, 2018.
On June 28, 2019, he was introduced as the new coach of the English second division club Nottingham Forest .
