Tobias Pereira Figueiredo (born February 2, 1994 in Sátão ) is a Portuguese football player who is under contract with Nottingham Forest in the EFL Championship .

Sporting Lisbon

Tobias Figueiredo, who comes from his own youth academy, was initially used in the second team by his club Sporting Lisbon . For the team active in the second-highest Portuguese division of the Segunda League , he played a total of 49 league games and scored one goal. In the 2013/14 season he played temporarily on loan at third division FC Reus . Another loan to the first division club Nacional Funchal followed in 2016/17 .

For the first team of Sporting Lisbon he made a total of fifteen league appearances, fourteen of which were in the Primeira Liga 2014/15 and another one in the Primeira Liga 2015/16 .

Nottingham Forest

On January 30, 2018, the second division Nottingham Forest announced the loan of Figueiredo until the end of the season. The 24-year-old defender played twelve league games for Forest in the 2017/18 EFL Championship and was able to convince those responsible at the club. At the end of the season, the team from Nottingham announced the commitment of the Portuguese on a firm contract basis and equipped him with a four-year contract.

National team

With the Portuguese U-17 national team , Tobias Figueiredo took part in the U-17 European Football Championship in Liechtenstein in 2010 , but failed with his team in the group stage against Spain and France. Three years later he was in the squad of the Portuguese U-19s at the U-19 European Football Championship 2013 in Lithuania. After a second place in the group stage, Portugal failed in the semi-finals on penalties against eventual European champions Serbia.

In June 2015, she participated in the U-21 European Football Championship 2015 in the Czech Republic. Portugal moved into the semi-finals as first in the table and defeated Germany 5-0 there.
