Jordan Clifford Smith (born December 8, 1994 in South Normanton ) is an English football goalkeeper who is under contract with the English second division club Nottingham Forest .

Career

Nottingham Forest

Jordan Smith, who has been at the youth academy of Nottingham Forest since he was seven, made his debut for his club on February 11, 2017, when he replaced injured goalkeeper Stephen Henderson in the Forest goal in the 23rd minute . Since Henderson was out until the end of the season, Smith established himself as his team's regular goalkeeper and played a total of fifteen league games in the 2016/17 EFL Championship . Due to his convincing performance, Forest provided him with a new contract valid until 2020 at the beginning of April 2017.

In mid-November 2018, he was loaned to third division FC Barnsley , which had no more capable goalkeeper in the squad after Jack Walton's injury-related failure and an international trip from regular goalkeeper Adam Davies . In January 2019 he was awarded to the third division club Mansfield Town for the rest of the season .
