John Joseph Bostock (born January 15, 1992 in London ) is an English football player who currently has a contract with the French first division club Toulouse FC .

Career

Bostock played in Crystal Palace's youth . He made his debut on October 29, 2007 in the game against Watford FC in the Football League Championship when he came on in the 72nd minute, making him the youngest player ever for Crystal Palace at 15 years and 287 days was used in a professional game. Just a week later, he also became the youngest player to start a Crystal Palace game when he started the game against Cardiff City .

When he moved to Tottenham Hotspur , there were disagreements between the clubs, so a court ruled that Tottenham had to pay a transfer fee of the equivalent of almost 800,000 euros. In addition, further payments of up to a good 1.6 million euros can be made over the years. On 6 November 2008 Bostock made his debut in the match against Dinamo Zagreb in the UEFA Cup . At 16 years and 295 days, he became the youngest player ever to be used for the Spurs . He was also used in the two knockout games against Shakhtar Donetsk in February 2009.

In November 2009 he moved on loan to third-rate Brentford FC in Football League One . On his debut against Millwall FC , Bostock scored both goals in a 2-2 draw. In August 2010 he was awarded for one season to the Premier League relegated Hull City . On his debut for Hull City in the Football League Championship , he scored a remarkable goal in a 2-0 win over Swansea City , which was later nominated for the Goal of the Year election. On December 31, 2010, Tottenham announced that the loan would be ended early and Bostock would play for Spurs again immediately . After he came to the Spurs only to a single use in the FA Cup , he joined the third division team Sheffield Wednesday on January 30, 2012 on loan. There he played until March, before Bostock was awarded to the fourth division club Swindon Town after four league games for Sheffield until the end of the season . After promotion to Football League One with Swindon Town, his loan was extended to January 2013. In February, he finally moved also on loan to the Canadian Toronto FC in Major League Soccer , where he played seven games until late May.

On June 7, 2013 it was announced that Bostock's contract with Tottenham Hotspur will be terminated. For the 2013/14 season he then moved to Royal Antwerp in the Belgian Second Division . In the summer of 2014, he joined league competitor Oud-Heverlee Löwen . He achieved promotion with the team at the end of the 2014/15 season . After the immediate relegation in 2016 , he left the club to RC Lens in France, where he played in Ligue 2 .

In January 2018, Bostock moved to Bursaspor in Turkey. Bostock left Turkey after half a year and moved to Toulouse FC .

National team

Bostock played six games for the England U-16 national team. With the U-17 national team, he took part in the U-17 European Championship in Germany in 2009 . In total, he ran 25 times for the U-17.

In 2010 he took part in the U-19 European Championship in France , where Bostock and his team made it to the semi-finals. He played a total of nine games for the U-19 team, in which he scored two goals.

In March 2013, Bostock showed interest in playing for the Trinidad and Tobago national team in the future.
