Tendayi David Darikwa (born December 13, 1991 in Nottingham , England ) is an English football player who is currently under contract with the second division Nottingham Forest .

Chesterfield FC

Tendayi Darikwa, who came from his own youth academy, made his debut on November 27, 2010 for Chesterfield FC in a 3-1 defeat at Burton Albion in the 2010/11 FA Cup . In Football League One 2011/12 , he played two league games for his club, which was relegated to the fourth division as third from bottom. In 2012/13 he established himself as a regular in the fourth-rate Football League Two and scored five goals in thirty-six league games. Chesterfield FC just missed the play-offs as seventh in the table. The Football League Two 2013/14 was more successful in which the team secured the championship title and thus returned to the third division. In addition, the club from Chesterfield moved into the final of the Football League Trophy 2013/14 , but lost the game at Wembley Stadium 3-1 to Peterborough United . The 2014/15 season was also successful for Darikwa, who played in all 46 league games. His team moved into the play-offs as sixth in the table, but failed there prematurely with 0: 1 and 0: 3 at Preston North End .

Burnley FC

On July 30, 2015, the second division Burnley FC announced the signing of the 23-year-old defender and equipped him with a three-year contract. For his new team, he played twenty-one league games in the Football League Championship 2015/16 and scored one goal. Burnley secured the championship title at the end of the season and rose to the Premier League . There Tendayi Darikwa was not used in the 2016/17 season and was only used in the FA Cup 2016/17 and the EFL Cup 2016/17 .

Nottingham Forest

At the end of July 2017, Tendayi Darikwa moved to the second division Nottingham Forest and signed a contract valid until 2021.
