Alexander Cole "Alex" Mighten (born April 11, 2002 in West Bridgford , Nottinghamshire ) is an English football player who is under contract with the second division club Nottingham Forest . The winger has been the England U19 national team since September 2019 .

Career

society

Alex Mighten was born in West Bridgford , Nottinghamshire and is from the youth division of Nottingham Forest . There he played in various age groups and on June 20, 2018, he signed his first two and a half year contract, which he began on his 17th birthday. He trained with the first team for the first time in the 2019/20 season . On September 24, 2019, he made his debut in the men's 0-5 league cup loss to Nottingham Forest when he came on for Yuri Ribeiro in the 78th minute . On December 13, 2019, he signed his first professional contract with the Reds . His first appearance in the second English top flight denied the winger on 22 February 2020 (34th matchday) at 0: 0 draw against Queens Park Rangers , as he, after 71 minutes, Adama Diakhaby replaced. At the end of the season, he was increasingly substituted on as a reinforcement for the offensive, as the team ambitious for promotion was usually not on the path to victory in the final phase. Because of this series of games without a win, Forest slipped to seventh place in the table on the last day of the game and thus missed a place in the promotion play-offs. Mighten came to eight league appearances in the second-rate EFL Championship this season.

National team

Alex Mighten played four times for England's U15 national team from December 2016 to May 2017 . Between July 2017 and April 2018 he played nine friendly matches for the U16s . He then worked for the U17s until March 2019 , for whom he scored four goals in 10 international matches. He has been a U19 national player since September 2019 .

Alex Mightens godfather is former England international Des Walker , who played for Nottingham Forest for a long time in his career.
