Bernhard Schütz

Bernhard Schütz (born February 24, 1959 in Leverkusen ) is a German film and theater actor .

Life

Schütz grew up as the son of a police officer and a housewife in Leverkusen . His mother was a member of the city council and a candidate for the CDU Leverkusen for the state parliament of North Rhine-Westphalia . He studied acting at the Berlin University of the Arts and worked at the Theater Basel from 1988 to 1993 and at the Hamburger Schauspielhaus from 1993 to 1995 . Schütz has been with the Berliner Volksbühne since 1994 . In the browser game TwinKomplex , Schütz plays the main role. For the ARD film Questions about Life , he played former Federal Chancellor Helmut Schmidt .

In 2012 he received a nomination for the German Film Award for his supporting role in Marc Bauder's Das System - Understanding Everything Means Forgiving Everything .

Schütz lives with his family in Fürstenwalde . He is a member of the Federal Drama Association (BFFS) .
