Solo für Schwarz is a German TV series by ZDF that was produced from 2003 to 2007. After the great success of the thriller Death in the Park , in which the criminal psychologist Hannah Schwarz ( Barbara Rudnik ) can solve two feminicides in Schwerin , the broadcaster commissioned a loose film series that was titled Solo for Black after its main character . In terms of content, the series concentrated on crimes, the roots of which go back to before 1989, and reflected the German way of life fifteen years after the fall of the Wall. Three more films were made before Solo für Schwarz was discontinued after the early death of leading actress Barbara Rudnik.
All four resulting parts were directed by Martin Eigler , who also wrote the books together with Sven S. Poser .

1 | Death in the park | Martin Eigler | November 17, 2003 on ZDF |
Criminal psychologist Hannah Schwarz was seven years old when her mother fled the GDR with her shortly after the Wall was built in 1961. Her father Leo stayed behind and had a successful career as a police officer and communist. After Leo's sudden death, Hannah returns to her hometown Schwerin - exactly at the time when the city is shaken by a brutal murder of women. Obviously, the case preoccupied Leo before his death. When Hannah sifts through his estate, she comes across old documents on a case from 1977 that bears the same signature as the acute murder - and that was investigated by her father at the time. Was Leo involved in a cover-up at the time - or did he even have something to do with both murders?
2 | Death in the lake | Martin Eigler | January 24, 2005 on ZDF |
Former criminal psychologist Hannah Schwarz finds herself embroiled in a drama of guilt and murder in this new case. Is your new partner Karl Hörster responsible for the death of his 16-year-old daughter, whose body is fished out of the lake one night? Could he also be behind the tragedy surrounding his wife, who died a few years earlier under very similar circumstances? Hannah's research is disrupted when a friend from her youth shows up and blames her for the catastrophe in his life.
3 | Death comes back | Martin Eigler | January 9, 2006 on ZDF |
After the murder of a married couple, Hannah Schwarz must try to elicit a testimony from the only witness to the crime, a nine-year-old traumatized boy. It soon turns out that the killer does not want to stand idly by while searching for the truth.
4th | Deadly looks | Martin Eigler | November 12, 2007 on ZDF |
The chance discovery of a series of brutal torture photos leads Hannah Schwarz to a notorious children's home, which was particularly harsh in the GDR era. Is the killer a traumatized ex-inmate? Or has the truck driver Holger Bruges been overtaken by his dark past? |
