The bull and the country egg is a crime series of the ARD . Six episodes were broadcast by April 2016. The series takes place in the Eifel -site Monreal and is sometimes called Schmunzelkrimi described.

The story is about police chief inspector Robert Killmer, who gets involved with the wife of his boss in Frankfurt and is caught. For official reasons, he is therefore "transported away" to rural Monreal. Here he has to do with rather unspectacular crime and does not get along well with it. In addition, he disturbs the circles of police chief Kati Biever, who had the crime in Monreal under control so far. Nevertheless, she would like him very much if he did not tend to show off ... In the 5th episode there is an unwanted but legal wedding between Killmer and Biever, which is why police chief Kati Biever is called Kati Killmer from the wedding onwards. Thus, Kati's grandma has achieved her goal of pairing them up, which she had planned from the start.

In the sixth episode, Kati and Robert Killmer divorce the mayor after several unsuccessful attempts. Afterwards they become intimate with each other during an outreach, and at the end of the episode Robert Killmer proposes to Kati, which she accepts after a moment's hesitation.

Locations

Filming locations were Monreal and the surrounding area. The Monreal registry office served as the backdrop for the scenes that take place in the police station.

Trivia

Commissioner Killmer has a penchant for older Alfa Romeo cars. In the first episode he drives a black Alfa Romeo 75 V6. In the 2nd and 3rd episodes he drives a silver Alfa Romeo Alfasud Sprint with mint green and black rally stripes . In the 4th episode, Killmer owns a red Alfa Romeo Alfasud Sprint, which is junk after a chase. In the 5th episode, the inspector drives a red Alfa Romeo 164 QV 12V with front headlights from the facelift model or super.

A silver-blue VW Passat B6 Variant always serves as a patrol car, except in the second episode; a Mercedes-Benz C-Class T-Model (204 series) is used here.

Kati Biever introduces herself as police chief in the first episode, but wears shoulder pieces from a police superintendent until the third episode. In episode 4 there are shoulder pieces of a police chief, in episode 5 the shoulder pieces of a police chief master. If one went after that, she would be gradually demoted.
