Der Metzger is the title of a two-part television film series by Andreas Herzog , based on the novel by Thomas Raab , which was shot in 2014 by Magic Flight Film on behalf of ARD Degeto for Das Erste , with the support of the Cine Tirol Film Commission in Innsbruck and the surrounding area.

Willibald Adrian Metzger ( Robert Palfrader ) is a loner and prefers to avoid large crowds. As a restorer, he prefers to work alone on old furniture. He visits his customers by bicycle, which he likes more than a fast car. In addition, he doesn't even have a driver's license.
