Die Vüchsin is a crime film series with Lina Wendel in the role of the former MfS spy Anne Marie Fuchs, which has been produced since 2015 and is broadcast as part of the first Thursday crime thriller .

content

The former GDR spy Anne Marie Fuchs lives modestly and very secluded in an apartment block in Düsseldorf. She has almost only contact with the outside world in the restaurant - café "Midsummer", where she occasionally has a short chat with the owner, Simone Papst. As a result, one day she learns about a missing person in Simone's family (as it later turns out: a kidnapping case ) and agrees to help with the search. She is supported by Simone's husband Youssef El Kilali. Kilali stands in stark contrast to the silent and intelligent fox with his irrepressible torrent of words. Inspired by the successful first "assignment", the enterprising Arab is of the opinion that they should open a detective agency and generously distributes appropriate business cards to his potential customers. For better or worse, Fuchs has to support him, because he alone does not have the right instinct for investigative work, but the right connections to the “underworld” and extensive kinship. Kilali doesn't know much about his partner Fuchs's past. She once mentioned that in 1992 she was jailed for two and a half years for treason.

Right at the beginning of her detective work, Fuchs meets Olaf Ruhleben, her former command officer . He now has his own security company , for which he would like to win Fuchs, which she strictly rejects. From her active time, she still has an unresolved account of Ruhleben and does not trust him. However, she keeps in touch with him, hoping he can help her solve the disappearance of her son. He was kidnapped to the GDR and allegedly died in a children's home . After Ruhleben bought up old secret material, she learned from him that her husband at the time (Konrad Gelden) and father of her son Florian was himself an “officer for special use” of the MfS, which even Ruhleben did not know until then. In the 1980s, the Stasi had smuggled money into the Bonn Ministry of Defense and, with Anne Fuchs, gave the appearance of a solid family life in the FRG. At the same time, however, he also had a family in Dessau who knew just as little about his double life as Anne Fuchs did. When she finds out that her son Florian is alive, she does everything possible to find him. But he too had already started looking for his biological parents. However, his motivation was based on finding the people who “let him down” as a child. As a result, this anger drives him to murder his father. Anne Fuchs, who tries everything to help her son, cannot prevent him from being sentenced to life imprisonment for murder. This is the second time she has lost her child.

criticism

Thomas Gehringer from tittelbach.tv said: “A woman with a painful past and astonishing abilities is the focus of the new crime series: Anne Marie Fuchs is a former Stasi agent who lives in Düsseldorf from Hartz IV and is acquainted with the search for a missing boy Man helps. A promising title character that stands out from other female investigators in a beneficial way: She is opaque, clever and laid out beyond female role clichés. "
