action

Frank Koops is a local policeman in the small mountain town of St. Andreasberg in the Harz Mountains, which is usually quite quiet. He is well known in his area and everything is running smoothly. Nevertheless, the crime also penetrates into this hidden corner of the mountains. Koops masters these challenges in his very own, calm way and his criminalistic qualities are always underestimated by criminals. His special local knowledge, which he specifically uses, also offers him advantages. He is friends with the postman Heiner Kelzenberg and the young colleague Mette Vogt ( Anna Fischer ) from the neighboring town of Braunlage . Both are important helpers in an emergency.

Reviews

“With the small-town police officer Frank Koops, Holger Karsten Schmidt invented one of the most beautiful investigative characters in German television crime, a stoic who is self-sufficient and apparently happy, based on the motto: 'No wishes, no excitement'. But who at the same time acts attentively, cleverly and energetically when violence and crime find their way into his small Harz region. Aljoscha Stadelmann plays this sympathetic loner in a ravishingly casual, calm and down-to-earth manner, without slipping into cliché and certainly not into homeland pathos. With him nothing comes with a grand gesture, but with his economical facial expressions, the always slightly shuffling way of movement and his sense of timing in the laconic dialogues, Stadelmann succeeds in the almost perfect embodiment of a small-town bogus that is always underestimated and always outgrowing itself . "

- Thomas Gehringer : tittelbach.tv

“Screenwriter Holger Karsten Schmidt once again follows the principle of reduced staff in one concentrated action in order to achieve the greatest possible tension effect. [...] This Koops is no laughing stock. You can take it seriously. In any case, he is not a work-shy village bull. "
