Samira Radsi

Iris Samira Radsi (* 1968 in Krefeld ) is a German film director .

Life

Samira Radsi first studied politics and art history at the University of Cologne . She then studied film directing at the Hamburg Media School . After long stays in Los Angeles , where she continued her education at the University of California , and as a freelance director and producer in Ireland from 2003, she returned to Germany in 2005. She made her cinema debut in 2011 with Anduni - Fremde Heimat . The film was awarded the DEFA Foundation Prize. Radsi was also involved in the television series Deutschland 83 , which was awarded the Grimme Prize in 2016 .

She is the mother of one son and lives in Berlin . Radsi organized the World Yoga Day (WYD) for Germany for several years.
