Jasmin Schwiers (born August 11, 1982 in Eupen , Belgium ) is a German actress .

biography

Schwiers grew up in the German-speaking community of Belgium .

Jasmin Schwiers started acting at the age of ten when she was discovered at a children's theater performance and suggested for auditioning the first film of a befriended screenwriter. During this engagement, she took a liking to acting and joined the Players agency .

After her television debut with Die Nacht der Nights - School's Out (1997), Schwiers had her breakthrough in 1998 as the daughter of series mother Rita Kruse ( Gaby Köster ) in the RTL comedy series Ritas Welt . Schwiers made her cinema debut the following year in Otto Alexander Jahrreiss ' comedy Alles Bob! By the time she graduated from school, she had already participated in around 20 productions.

In addition to acting, Schwiers organizes creative groups for children in the Bleiberger factory in Aachen and is involved as an ambassador for the German Children's Hospice Association . With the singer Gregor Meyle she recorded in 2012 Then I'm at home .

Jasmin Schwiers lives in Cologne and is married to the actor Jan van Weyde . Their daughter was born in August 2014, and the second daughter was born in May 2019. Her brother Rene is a musician in the Kölsch rock group Kasalla .
