action

Disappointed by the routine that has found its way into their marriage, the frustrated Thea Ritter dares to cheat on a wellness weekend in a luxury hotel. Little does the entrepreneur, who runs a print shop with her husband Jochen, know that her short-term affair Benedict is a fraud. With a video of the filmed night of love, he hopes to extort 100,000 euros . Although Thea has long since confessed everything to her husband, she wants to prevent public humiliation at all costs, which is why she secretly siphons the money from the company coffers.

Benedict's next victim is the bookseller Babette Ollenhauer. She also succumbs to the charm of Beaus , but is initially cautious about financial matters. However, Benedict cleverly turns the tide by proposing to Babette, which she happily accepts. Immediately after the wedding, he finally succeeds in receiving the longed-for power of attorney from Babette. Only a little later, the bookseller was holding a loan agreement for 300,000 euros that her husband took out. When she confronts him, he even goes so far as to say that Babette only married him because he had money, turns around and disappears without another word. Babette is now liable with her bookstore to repay the loan.

Babette contacts Thea, who had already tried to warn her. The women decide to take revenge. To do this, they have chosen the young waitress Sindy, whom they had caught attempting to pickpocket and thus put them under pressure. Sindy, a single mother with two daughters who is barely getting by, is said to serve as a decoy to beat Benedict with his own weapons. Obeying the gentle pressure, the young woman joins in and pretends to be a rich wife who is being neglected by her husband. Benedict soon becomes aware of her and lets his charm play out. In the short term, it looks like real feelings are developing between the two of them. That would be counterproductive for Thea and Babette and their plans for revenge. The women think Sindy should put Benedikt to the test to see whether he really means it with her. Günther Karow, a loyal employee of the Ritters, provides 45,000 euros, which Sindy Benedikt, who pretended to be a financier, is supposed to leave to invest. However, this time too he cannot resist and clears away the money.

With the help of Theas Mann and Günther Karow, the women get Benedikt to have him sign a power of attorney at an inattentive moment, which gives Babette, who is still Benedict's wife, all possibilities. While Sindy distracts Bendedikt, Thea and Babette clear his comfortably furnished apartment, in which they also find a secret room that contains lots of cash and jewelry. Finally, with the power of attorney signed by Benedikt, Babette also closes his bank accounts and invested funds down to the last penny. They only took back what was theirs, tossed it at the utterly confused gigolo. Benedict thinks that this will not remain without consequences, but knows himself that there is little he can do. When he leaves the house, he has to flee from all the women he has tricked. When he is resigned and battered down a country road, an elderly lady stops next to him in an expensive sports car and wants to know if she can take him with her. He gets in, smiling certain of victory.

criticism

The lexicon of the international film found: "Lightweight (television) crook comedy, which varies the motive of the deceived fraudster in a very amusing way - from 14."

Cornelia Wystrichowski was of the opinion in the Thüringer Allgemeine : “Compared to Weissensee and Good bye, Lenin! this comedy with Katrin Sass is a bit of a disappointment. It also said: Pointed dialogues and original pranks are unfortunately few and far between, instead there is a considerable dose of heartache when the youngest has a crush on Benedict. It's a shame: With this great trio, which you can tell that they enjoy playing despite numerous weaknesses in the script, there would have been more possible without a doubt. "

Focus Online rated the film as follows: “Now follows the 'first' with a well-groomed, entertaining crime comedy with serious undertones, from which one could certainly learn for life. In Dennis Satin's 'Marriage swindlers you don't kiss' […] the highly respected Katrin Sass […] leads a trio of women with a wink, who with combined forces brings down a slippery, ice-cold slayer (Jan Sosniok). […] The film […] does without in-depth analysis of the soul and society and is fun, not least because of the good cast: The trio of strategist Thea, lush, impulsive Babette and young, pragmatic Sindy provides loving play and brisk sayings for a good mood - and thus holds up the flag for woman power in a friendly way. "

The editorial team of Prisma magazine gave the film two out of five possible stars and rated it: “Director Dennis Satin shot this turbulent relationship based on the not particularly original script by Adrienne Bortoli and Ulrike Zinke. Thanks to the good acting performances of Katrin Sass and Petra Kleinert as cheated women and Jasmin Schwiers as a young decoy, this light comedy is still quite entertaining, but certainly not to everyone's taste.
