Andreas Herzog (director)

Andreas Herzog (* 1967 in Bad Tölz ) is a German film director and former film editor .

Life

Herzog worked as an editor from 1992 to 2008. After various television series, commercials and more than thirty feature films for cinema and television, including the multi-part series Störtebeker , Die Frau vom Checkpoint Charlie and The Godmother - No Way Back , he switched to directing and initially directed various short films. In 2007, the Sat.1 series Deadline was the first commission to direct a station. He directed several episodes for Munich's SOKO 5113 ; a series special with Ornella Muti in the leading role of the episode paved the way for longer television formats. In addition to other series, so u. a. four films from the series Unter Verdacht with Senta Berger in the leading role as well as crime scenes from Cologne and Dortmund.

Herzog has been a lecturer at the Salzburg University of Applied Sciences and at the Filmhaus Cologne since 2009 .
