action

During a cup final in the Berlin Olympic Stadium with 70,000 spectators, the central cash desk of the stadium is robbed. When the intruders are discovered, they take control of the security center and take the spectators hostage by locking the stadium gates. The head of security Tobias Bender, who was not in the headquarters, finally defeated the gangsters and thus prevented a mass panic at the end of the game.

Reviews

"Elaborately designed television thriller, which does not understand how to condense the essentially implausible plot into any genre-immanent logic and only convinces in a few staged dense approaches and thanks to theatrical accents."

“Fast-paced stunts, a psychologically sophisticated script and tense film music [...] make the finale worth seeing. Even if the individual figures are somewhat exaggerated and one-sided in their one-dimensionality. "

background

The Bundesliga game between Hertha BSC and Hansa Rostock on March 1, 1998 served as the backdrop for the film . Many of the soccer game scenes visible in the film are also taken from this Bundesliga game.
