Nele Mueller-Stöfen (born May 7, 1967 in Hamburg ) is a German actress .

Life

In 1988, after graduating from high school, Mueller-Stöfen decided to study at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Graz . During her training, she made her first theater and television appearances.

In Austria she met the director Oliver Hirschbiegel . He suggested her in 1990 for the female lead in the crime scene Rendezvous . In addition to Jürgen Vogel , Mueller-Stöfen made her television debut. Since then she has appeared regularly in film and television.

After completing her training, she received an engagement from the Munster Municipal Theaters . In 1993 she received the North Rhine-Westphalian Young Actor Award for Gretchen in Faust . Nele Mueller-Stöfen can be seen on stage again and again, such as at Kampnagel in Hamburg as well as on the Berlin stages of the Renaissance Theater, Theater on Kurfürstendamm or at the Sophiensaal with Girls night out , which was awarded in 2002 for the Friedrich Luft Prize was nominated.

Besides Isabella Parkinson , she played a leading role in 2001 in the film Frau2 sucht HappyEnd . In 2007 she took on the female lead in the film The Ruler of Edessa . The director Tim Trachte was nominated for the First Steps Awards with the film.

Together with her husband Edward Berger , Nele Mueller-Stöfen wrote the script for the film Jack , which ran in the 2014 Berlinale competition.

You have two children and live in Berlin.
