Rendezvous is a television film from the crime series Tatort . The episode was produced by Südwestfunk under the direction of Martin Gies and first broadcast on German television on June 4, 1990. It is the 231st episode of the crime scene and the second episode with Ludwigshafen investigator Lena Odenthal .
action
In Ludwigshafen, two wealthy men are killed and robbed in their apartments in quick succession. It looks like the last time they had a date with a woman. The commissioner Lena Odenthal is entrusted with the murder cases and is now looking for the unknown. She soon meets eighteen-year-old Vicky, who works in her stepfather's small gas station. Odenthal observes her and notices how after work she dresses up as a seductive woman and goes to clubs and discos, where it can be proven that the two victims also frequented. Odenthal approaches her there and explains to her that she must have known the men, which she denies. A possible witness who saw Vicky coming from the apartment of the last victim can be presented as untrustworthy by her. So Odenthal must continue to look for solid evidence or get Vicky to confess. She is sure that there is an accomplice, since the girl alone cannot have had the physical strength for the deeds. Therefore, she continues to observe her and follows her late at night to a remote hut, where Vicky meets her boyfriend Daniel. When she tries to arrest the two, however, they have disappeared. While looking for them, she can discover stolen property in the hiding place and finally has evidence against Vicky in her hand.
Odenthal finds out that Vicky and Daniel wanted to emigrate to New York and raise one million Deutschmarks as start-up capital. While she selected rich men and let them take her to her apartment, Daniel killed the men after Vicky secretly opened the door for him.
Vicky wants Daniel to get rid of the detective at all costs, since she is the only one she still believes to be the perpetrator. Therefore she tries to trick Odenthal with a similar trick as the men before. But the plan fails and Vicky and Daniel have a fatal car accident while fleeing from the inspector.
