Good Friends is a television film from the crime series Tatort . The episode was produced by Südwestrundfunk under the direction of Martin Gies and first broadcast on German television on May 13, 2001. It is the 470th episode of the crime scene and 22nd episode with the Ludwigshafen investigator Lena Odenthal ( Ulrike Folkerts ). For her colleague Mario Kopper ( Andreas Hoppe ) it is the 13th case.

Commissioner Lena Odenthal is investigating a murder case that leads her to a well-known TV presenter. The true background to the crime is only hesitantly revealed.

action

Frank Resig kills his casual acquaintance Peter Kreuzer in an argument. In his distress, his old school friend and TV presenter Tobias Buchert rings the doorbell at night to help him. In fact, he deigns to help move the corpse, as he still has something to make up for with Buchert. They are watched by a passer-by who recognizes Buchert and reports this to the police when they dealt with the alleged accident the next day. After it is clearly clear that the man was killed, Odenthal and Kopper are alerted.

Inspector Odenthal visits Tobias Buchert and immediately senses that the man is trying to hide something from her. The single father lost his wife in an accident a few years ago. In the meantime he is also being blackmailed by Resig, which Buchert does not put up with and puts a bat on his old friend.

Odenthal finds out that Buchert had opened a media agency together with a partner before his TV career. This tip leads you to Frank Resig, who went down social after the bankruptcy of the company and consumes a lot of alcohol. She also discovers the secret that surrounds Buchert and Resig, because Buchert had sexually involved with his adopted daughter years ago and when Buchert's wife found out about it, she deliberately drove her car into a tree. After he publicly admits this relationship in one of his talk shows, Resig can no longer blackmail him. Angry about this, he makes the decision to kill Buchert. Kopper found out about this from Resig's friend Nico Tober, who also told him that Resig had “pulled the bottle over the head” of the “bum” and then helped Buchert remove the corpse because it all happened in front of his property. Kopper immediately went to the TV studio and was able to incapacitate and arrest Resig, who was just walking towards Buchert with a gun drawn.
