Andreas Hoppe (born June 1, 1960 in Berlin ) is a German actor .

Life

Andreas Hoppe was born in Berlin and grew up in Schöneberg and Tempelhof . He completed his acting training from 1982 to 1986 at the Hanover University of Music and Theater in the same year as Ulrike Folkerts . He then played at various Berlin theaters, including from 1992 to 1995 at the Grips Theater , and in numerous cinema and TV productions. Ulrike Folkerts, who has played Ludwigshafen chief inspector Lena Odenthal in the ARD crime series Tatort since 1989 , suggested Hoppe for the role of her new assistant. Since 1996, beginning with the Cold Death case , Andreas Hoppe has been investigating at her side as Commissioner Mario Kopper for Südwestfunk and later Südwestrundfunk . The last Tatort with Hoppe was broadcast in early 2018. He is a member of the Federal Drama Association .

Hoppe lives in Berlin-Charlottenburg and in the countryside in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania. He advocates regional foods for ecological reasons. On this topic, he published the book Alone Among Cucumbers in 2009 and in 2013 accompanied consumers in the documentary series Der Kommissar im Refrigerator for SWR television when they tried to eat purely regionally.

In 2014, Andreas Hoppe supported the animal welfare organization Vier Pfoten . Together with the Brüll campaign for more humanity for animals, they advocate a ban on wild animals in German circuses. He has also been the ambassador for the Müritz Bear Forest , the four paws bear protection center, since 2013 . Andreas Hoppe is also an activist for sustainable nutrition and a WWF campaign ambassador for #iamnature. In addition, Andreas Hoppe is the godfather of the Naturvision film festival in Ludwigsburg.
