Edward Piccin

Edward Piccin (born April 30, 1971 in Zurich ) is a Swiss actor , speaker and singer.

Life

Edward Piccin attended primary school from 1978 to 1984 , secondary school from 1984 to 1986 and grammar school from 1986 to 1990 , both in Zurich . He then studied psychology for two semesters at the University of Zurich before completing an acting course at the Zurich University of the Arts from 1992 to 1995 . In the following years he took singing lessons and attended various acting workshops .

He began to be interested in acting at an early age, at the age of 13 he got his first dubbing role, shortly afterwards he got his first role as an actor in the TV movie Videopoly or Duponts Disappearance , a co-production of ARD and SF DRS . Shortly after finishing drama school, he received a two-year contract at the St. Gallen City Theater . His breakthrough on television came with the role of Röbi Flückiger in the sitcom Mannezimmer . He was also cast for various roles in individual episodes of the crime series SOKO 5113 , Der Fahnder , Tatort or Ein Fall für Zwei. He was first seen in the cinema in the The Lord of the Rings parody The Ring Thing , where he played the role of Friedo .

Dubbing was also always important to him, for example he was featured in the dialect versions of the animated films Stuart Little , Stuart Little 2 and The Little Polar Bear . He is currently doing more theater again, most recently at the Bernhard Theater in Zurich and at the Casino Theater in Winterthur .
