Mannezimmer is a 65-episode Swiss sitcom that was broadcast on Swiss television from 1997 to 2001 . On average, 677,000 viewers watched the series, which corresponded to a market share of 43.2 percent.
action
The sitcom is about the involuntary shared apartment of Erwin Imhof and Leo Matter. Erwin actually wanted to go on a world tour and has therefore sublet the apartment to Leo, who wants to write a novel and has given up his job as a journalist for a year. Unfortunately Erwin doesn't get any further than the airport and now the two of them live together in the apartment, which is too small for two people.
The ex-girlfriend of Leo, Jasmin Wyss, who knew each other from their student days, acted as other main characters. Jasmin has taken over Leo's job at the “Tagblatt” and now comes to visit often because Leo is contractually obliged to help her with her work. The neighbor boy Röbi Flückiger is an orphan and lives with his uncle Willi, the caretaker. He sees Erwin as his foster father because he is sincere and nice to him. There is also the neighbor, Mrs. Graber, who sees everything that is happening in the house, on the street and in the neighborhood.

The series was developed by Rolf Lappert and his co-author Klaus Rohne. Videcom as a production company initially worked in their studio in Sitterdorf . Because it was getting too tight there, they moved to Studio Uster . At both locations, the film was shot in front of an audience, which had the task of laughing at every punch line. These "laughs" were recorded and broadcast.
From 2015 to 2016 SRF 1 repeated the sitcom for the first time and simultaneously released all seasons in one DVD box.
