Dodo Hug

Doris "Dodo" Hug (born February 12, 1950 in Bern ) is a Swiss singer , musician , actress , comedian and singer-songwriter. She became famous with the group «Mad Dodo».

Career

Dodo Hug has been active in the music scene since the 1970s. She started as a music teacher and with street and pub music. She became known through Mad Dodo , founded in the 1980s, together with Dominique Brod, Bruno Brandenberger and Christoph Ausfeld. Dodo Hug toured Europe with “Mad Dodo” and presented a comedic music program.

For several years now, Dodo Hug has been playing with Efisio Contini, a Sardinian musician and composer .

The artist is famous above all for her musical diversity and her talent for languages. Dodo Hug speaks Bern and Zurich German without an accent. In her songs she often switches between different languages, German , French , Italian , English , Spanish , Portuguese , back and forth or creates new words.

Dodo Hug plays guitar , mandolin , ukulele and various percussion instruments .
