Norbert Schultze junior

Norbert Schultze junior (born August 10, 1942 ) is a German director of television series.

Life

Schultze is a son of the composer Norbert Schultze and brother of Kristian Schultze . In 1956 he played Max in the children's film Max and Moritz at the side of his brother. In 1962 he completed a technical training course in England at Color Film Services and worked in various positions (production manager, still photos, props) in various smaller productions, but also as second production manager in various international productions such as James Bond - 007, Dr. No and The daredevil men in their flying boxes . In 1967 he took over the management of the program Berliner Fenster at Sender Free Berlin . In the following years, after training as an actor, he became a director. His work includes numerous television programs, but also theater productions.

For twelve years, from 1996 to 2007, he was artistic director of the Karl May Festival in Bad Segeberg . After a three-year break, he was again its director and artistic director from 2011 to 2019. In 2011, in his second adopted country of South Africa, he founded the “German Theater on the Cape”, of which he is also the director.

Norbert Schultze Jr. was married three times; his third wife "Dickie", with whom he has a daughter, died on December 25th 2014 after a long illness. He lives in Hamburg and Cape Town ( South Africa ).
