Reinhard Marheinecke

Reinhard Marheinecke (* 1955 ) is a German author and publicist.

Life

Marheinecke, formerly a banker and now head of a social foundation, has published 44 new Winnetou novels, as well as musicals, children's fairy tales, books for young people, biographies, various cabaret books, historical novels, audio books and music CDs. His novel "Ich, der Lord von Barmbeck" was put on the list of suggestions for the 2015 Book of the Year by the State Library. Since the publication of “Die Jagd des Old Shatterhand” (1994) he has been writing new books with Winnetou and Old Shatterhand and, together with Jutta Laroche Karl May's intended work “ Winnetou's Testament ”, has implemented eight volumes.

With Nicolas Finke he published the book "Karl May am Kalkberg" about the Karl May Games in Bad Segeberg . This was followed by supplementary brochures in 2001, 2004 and 2008, the book "At the foot of the Kalkberg" about the games in the 80s. In 2005, he and Jutta Laroche published the biography of Heinz Ingo Hilger's “Memories of Winnetou”.

He also writes from time to time in Karl May magazine and is active in the cabaret “Die Kneifer”, appears in the comedy shower in Hamburg and reads from his works at author readings.
