The Hahnenbeek is a 4 km long stream in the Wolfenbüttel district , which rises east of Bornum and south of Groß Biewende and flows into the Alte Ilse west of Bornum .
geography
The stream rises in the Feldmark about 2.6 km east of Bornum on the northern slope of the Klotzberg as a predominantly deeply cut, straight Feldbach that often falls dry in summer. In the local area of Bornum it partially runs in a concrete base. To the west of the village it strives in a straight line towards the former course of the Ilse , bends to the north and flows into the Alte Ilse around the crossing of the district road 27 between Bornum and Dorstadt .
