Das Superweib is a feature film by the director Sönke Wortmann , shot in 1995 and premiered in Germany in 1996. The story is based on the novel of the same name by Hera Lind .

action

During a visit to a lawyer because of buying a house, Franziska inadvertently divorces Will, a busy director who usually leaves her with their children anyway and cheats on them with the leading actresses. She writes a book under a pseudonym in which she processes her relationship. After this turns out to be a bestseller, it will be filmed by her future ex-husband of all people.

Others

Franziska's pseudonym "Franka Zis" is an allusion to Hera Lind's artist name , which also originated from her first name "Herlind".

Reviews

The " Süddeutsche Zeitung " ruled that Wortmann was telling the story quickly, but without a noticeable rhythm. The pictures illustrate the story without commenting on it and so the film remains flat and without any false bottom. “ Epd Film ” also found the characters drawn flat and honest. The film is neither comedy nor clothes and does not come close to Wortmann's previous works.

The " Lexicon of International Films " (CD-ROM edition, Systhema, Munich 1997) found: "Comedy told episodically without any bite that relies solely on the pull of the trivial novel."

Awards

The Wiesbaden film evaluation agency awarded the production the rating of particularly valuable .
