Tom Ferryman

Tom Fährmann (born May 24, 1956 in Duisburg , actually Thomas Fährmann ) is a German cameraman , photographer and screenwriter .

Life

Tom Fährmann is the son of the children's book author Willi Fährmann and grew up in Xanten on the Lower Rhine . After graduating from the Stiftsgymnasium Xanten , he studied art education at the Westfälische Wilhelms-Universität in Münster from 1975 to 1981 and then from 1982 to 1985 at the University of Television and Film in Munich . In addition to his work as a cameraman for cinema and TV films, Fährmann was also involved in the development of advertising films for C&A , Joop and Jil Sander . In 1997 he published the illustrated book " Beyond the Image ". Since December 2015 he has been a professor at the University of Television and Film Munich in the camera department.

Fährmann was also a member of the film crew of the 1996 and 2002 Adolf Grimme Prize films, Der Sandmann und Wambo .
