Herzflimmern is a German television film by Peter Fratscher from 2005. It is the 9th film in the ZDF crime film series Das Duo .

action

Commissioner Lizzy Krüger and her colleague Marion Ahrens investigate the death of the life artist Susanne Brückner, who is found dead in her apartment. A neighbor reports an argument between the victim and a man who visited Brückner a few days ago. The evaluation of the last phone calls lead Lizzy Krüger to the Schneider couple, with whom Brückner had a small engagement. Your friend, Bernd Stöwer, recommended the young woman to them. After further checks it is clear that Schneider leads a double life and has girlfriend and child in Hamburg. This brings him into the focus of the investigation of the women duo, because the victim could also have been another lover. This assumption is confirmed and Schneider is in need of an explanation. According to him, they had some wild sex and she was hit against the radiator from the bed. But she would still have been alive when he left the apartment. After the forensic examination, the victim was beaten again later. However, Schneider has an alibi for this period. Krüger and Ahrens therefore follow up on the neighbour's hint about the unknown man. This leads to Mario, who once supplied Brückner with drugs, but he too has an alibi for the period of the crime. After the sculpture with which the victim was fatally injured is found, textile fibers are found on it, which can be assigned to Andreas Schneider without a doubt. Schneider cannot explain, however, how the fibers got to the sculpture. He would have loved Susanne Brückner and not killed. This seems credible to Krüger and Ahrens, so they ask again Bernd Stöwer, a good friend of Susanne Brückner. Lizzy Krüger is sure that the woman meant more to him than he had admitted. Since he is also friends with the Schneiders and Andreas Schneider has left his travel bags with him, he can easily get his friend's textiles. Last security is provided by traces of epoxy resin that were found on the victim's doormat and that match the sealing varnish that Stöwer uses on his boat. He is arrested and interrogated. The inspectors can use a little trick to persuade him to confess, and he admits that he quarreled with the victim and killed her emotionally. To cover his tracks, he wiped the sculpture with Schneider's sweater. He was tired of just watching how Schneider had fun with Susanne Brückner, when he secretly loved her and, in his opinion, Schneider would only "play" with her.

criticism

Tilmann P. Gangloff from tittelbach.tv said: “While the scripts Ann-Kathrin Kramer and Charlotte Schwab initially staged a contrast (here the hard one, there the delicate one), the ladies of the ZDF series 'Das Duo' are now close friends become. At last the actresses too can play free from any doggedness; the stories come to the fore. ”“ Peter Fratzscher stages the crime thriller confidently and without antics, but with excellent actors; and with a lot of flair for the actors in the supporting roles. "

The critics of the TV magazine TV Spielfilm gave the best possible rating (thumbs up) and found: "After a wooden entry, the provincial thriller gains in format." As an overall conclusion, they drew "The famous Tarrach enriches" The Duo "".
