Der Sumpf is a German television film by Thorsten Näter from 2006. It is the 13th film in the ZDF crime film series Das Duo . The film was shot in Lübeck and premiered on ZDF on October 28, 2006 at 8:15 pm .
action
Seventeen-year-old Irena Walters is found dead in the forest in a small North Sea village. First of all, Commissioner Marion Ahrens asks her friend Christine Petersen, but she cannot get any clues about the motive for the crime. Her other friend Lisa Ottrop is just as taciturn. Irena's former friend Jürgen Lüders is a little more communicative, from whom the inspectors Ahrens and Hertz learn that Irena was very sexually active and even slept with her mother's boyfriend. Since Ronaldo Fahrina has a small criminal record, the commissioners concentrate on him first. It looks like he was supplying the whole village with drugs . Irena had blackmailed him, just as she had other villagers in her hand, because they wanted to make themselves important.
Unexpectedly, Christine Petersen attempts suicide and confesses to Commissioner Ahrens that she is to blame for Irena's death. She says that she saw her friend that evening but didn't help her. While she was talking to Ahrens, she suddenly heard a noticeable noise, just as she had heard that night. That leads to Jürgen Lüders, who drives a scooter that made this noise. When the inspectors turn up again, he admits the act. He would have loved Irena, when he saw her with another man in the car, he would have followed her to confront her. But she would only have laughed at him and mocked him so that he would have killed her with a stone in his anger.
Ahrens and Hertz found the stone in Lüder's garden. He wanted "that he has a good place".
criticism
Tilmann P. Gangloff from tittelbach.tv said appreciatively: “'Der Sumpf' is the second case for the duo from Lübeck in a new line-up, and again it shows that the series of changes from Ann-Kathrin Kramer to Lisa Martinek has in no way harmed . The contrasts between the two inspectors are now much more evident: here the waiting, observing older Ahrens, there the brisk, impulsive, provocative Clara Hertz. "" Sometimes the dialogues are too meaningful, but even that fits into the almost unreal one Atmosphere of this village where everyone is constantly watching the other. Näter skilfully sprinkles in small humoresque. "
Andreas Markhauser assessed the following for Oddsmeter.de : “Director Thorsten Näter creates an oppressive, dark atmosphere and skillfully stages the dreariness of a drug-infested province. He designs mixed and opaque characters that disguise the image of their village and thus leave a lot of leeway for the investigators to guess. The laborious search for clues continues until the end; the track takes numerous turns. "
For the lexicon of international films , Das Duo: Der Sumpf was "a made-up crime thriller in television series format."
