Stephan Luca (born July 3, 1974 in Stuttgart ; actually Stephan Hornung ) is a German actor .

biography

Luca was interested in acting during his school days, and so he completed an apprenticeship at the Hamburg University of Music and Theater from 1997 to 2000 . For his portrayal of Romeo in the diploma production Romeo and Juliet , he received the Friedrich Schütter Prize to promote young actors in Hamburg . Afterwards he also played at theaters in Zurich and Hamburg .

During her studies, Luca began to take part in television series such as Die Schule am See or Out of the Blue . He later appeared in the movie You have Knut as a ski instructor and in various television films such as Held der Gladiatoren , Die Sturmflut , Störtebeker and Inferno - Flammen über Berlin .

During the shooting of the film Der Bergpfarrer - Liebe und other surprises he took on the stage name Luca in 2005. At the beginning of 2007 he shot the TV films Die Avalanche , in which he played the leading male role alongside Muriel Baumeister , and in Sweden The Horses of Katarinaberg based on a novel by Inga Lindström . In August 2007 Luca was working on several films at the same time: on If love were so easy with Yvonne Catterfeld and Sebastian Ströbel and on the ZDF Sunday film Vier Tage Toskana , which was first broadcast in April 2008. In 2007 he also shot the films Der Hochzeitswalzer (first broadcast: October 2008) and Nothing but Trouble with Men (working title: Salt in the Soup ) for ARD , in which he played the leading role.

In May 2015 he was in the ZDF television series Murder Hunger - Crimes and Other Delicacies in the episode film Wilder Westen as Ben, the owner of the table dance bar "Wilder Westen". Luca has played the title role in the TV series Zorn since 2015 .

Stephan Luca has two daughters and lives in Hamburg.
