The optician Dette Sander not only has a weight problem, but also low self-confidence. Not only does her boss hold that against her and she cannot be presented in the store, she also doesn't dare to speak to her secret crush, the meteorologist Jakob Weiß. So she decides to be hypnotized. She doesn't lose any weight, but she gains so much zest for life and courage that she finally speaks to Jakob. Unfortunately, the effects soon wear off.

“As in his comedy 'Moppel-Ich' (2006) with Christine Neubauer, director Thomas Nennstiel takes the life situation of a well-equipped thoroughbred woman to his chest. While Neubauer didn't necessarily have to gain weight for this, the make-up artists at Sophie Schütt had a lot to do, as she doesn't necessarily run around as a heavyweight. So it went straight into the bacon coat and off to the glasses shop, where she of course even wraps the attractive Stephan Luca around her finger as Dette. Conclusion: harmless and predictable fun with some funny ideas that Dette's fellow sufferers can hardly laugh about. "
