The focus of the series is on the teacher Vera Herzog, who is coming to the Schloss Lütin boarding school as a new teacher, and the residential group of the Prinzenhäusler, which is almost dissolved at the beginning of the series because of their problems. The Prinzenhäusler are: Alf Fürneisen, Antonia Hauke, Charlotte Crispin, called Lolle, Eric Weidner, Karl von Sassnitz, called Karlchen, Mario Kofler, Nina König and Stefan Witznik.

The Prinzenhäusler struggle with the typical problems that arise in the school environment or in their age, e.g. B. Conflicts with parents, first love etc.

Vera Herzog stands privately between the headmaster Henning Seld and the sports teacher Fritz Bülow. However, the former leaves school at the end of the first season and so Vera Herzog can finally become the headmaster of the boarding school. At the end of the third season, Vera Herzog also leaves Lütin Castle due to a brain tumor and the Prinzenhäusler are on their own from then on.

background

Most of the school on the lake was filmed in Schleswig-Holstein in Plön . The main setting was the castle area with the Plön Castle , the commanders 'villa and the girls' house.

Small actors and extras were mostly - as is usual in such cases - cast directly on site.

The fictional location Lüttin was taken over by the family series Kleinstadtbahnhof , filmed in Plön in 1971 .

Books

Three books by Jenny Bentin have been published for the series: A Hot Reception , Gigolos and Playing with Fire .
