Diana Amft (born November 7, 1975 in Gütersloh ) is a German actress .

life and career

childhood and education

The daughter of a caretaker grew up in Herzebrock-Clarholz in North Rhine-Westphalia and worked, among other things, in a video library after school . She successfully completed an apprenticeship as a legal clerk at the district court of Rheda-Wiedenbrück .

She took singing lessons in Bielefeld and applied to the Folkwang School in Essen to no avail .

Career

At the age of twenty she was accepted at the Munich drama school Zerboni after receiving twelve rejections . This was followed by theater appearances and in 1999 first roles in television productions.

Diana Amft was best known for her role as Inken in Girls, Girls (2001) and its sequel Girls, Girls 2 - Loft or Love (2004). From 2008 to 2011 she was in the lead role as Dr. Margarete "Gretchen" Haase can be seen in the award-winning television series Doctor's Diary .

For the soundtrack of Mädchen Mädchen 2 - Loft oder Liebe she sang the title Funky Freakshow with the girl group Tears . In 2010 Amft wrote the children's book The Little Spider Disgusting , which was published in September 2011 by Baumhaus Verlag at Bastei Lübbe .

2013 she was in the lead role of RTL - sitcom Christine. Yesterday was perfect! , an adaptation of the American series The New Adventures of Old Christine , as a divorced woman in her mid-thirties with child.

Also in 2013 she played and sang Ottilie Giesecke in the remake of the Singspiel by Ralph Benatzky Im Weisse Rössl - Woe Du singst! The old Berlin comedy of the same name by Oskar Blumenthal and Gustav Kadelburg , which had already been filmed several times, served as a template .

She has been promoting the Yogurette chocolate bar since 2017 .

Private

Diana Amft lives in Berlin. She is married to unit manager Arne Regul and has a child born in 2014.
