The pop singer Karl-Heinz "Kalle" Sollheim has been forgotten after his hit Unter der Sonne , his fans don't want to hear his new album Rain . His manager Theresa Kostner arranges a raffle for a campsite with him for a prize on the radio. Desiree Kranz and her mother are the winners of the raffle. PR comes in handy for them because they're broke. Desiree falls in love with the likeable Kalle, who actually favors a different style of music than Schlager and stands between her feelings and her existence.
