William Sanderson

William Sanderson (born January 10, 1944 in Memphis , Tennessee ) is an American actor . One of his best-known roles is JF Sebastian in the 1982 science fiction film Blade Runner directed by Ridley Scott .

Career

Sanderson starred in a number of films in cinema and television since the late 1970s. He also took on guest roles in a number of television series, including Babylon 5 (in an episode and the TV movie Babylon 5: The Gate to the Third Dimension ), The X-Files - The FBI's Scary Cases , Knight Rider , A Terribly Nice Family , Matlock , Emergency Room - The emergency room and Without a Trace - Gone without a trace .

He had a recurring role in the sitcom Newhart , which ran from 1982 to 1990. He also played a leading role in the television series Deadwood (2004-2006).
