Chris Buck
Chris Buck (born February 24, 1958 in Wichita , Kansas ) is an American director , screenwriter , animator and Oscar winner .
Life
Buck attended the California Institute of the Arts and later ended up with the Walt Disney Company , which co-founded the institute. After he was involved in numerous film projects as an animator, he made his debut as a director in 1993 with an episode of the television series Dog with the Buck family . He then wrote the screenplay for Pocahontas , in which he also animated the characters Percy, Grandmother Willow and Wiggins. For Kings of the Waves , in which he also played the role of filmmaker, Buck was nominated for the Oscar for the best animated feature film for the first time in 2008 . At the 2014 Academy Awards, he shared with Jennifer Lee andPeter Del Vecho won the Oscar for the film Frozen - Totally Unabashed . Buck was also involved in Frozen II (2019).
Buck lives in Wichita , Kansas .
