Will champion
Will Champion (born July 31, 1978 as William Champion in Southampton , County Hampshire ) is a British musician and drummer for the English alternative rock band Coldplay . Together with the other members of the band, he is a multiple Grammy winner.
Life
Champion was born in Southampton, where his father Timothy Champion was Professor of Archeology at the university there. He later attended Cantell Secondary School in Bassett , Southampton and the Royal Hospital School in Holbrook , Suffolk , before studying anthropology at University College London . At university , Champion worked as a bouncer for a bar. Before Coldplay , he played guitar in the British independent band Fat Hamster. He also masters the bass and the piano . In 2003 he married Marianne Dark. Champion has three children. Ava, his first daughter was born on April 14, 2006. Two years later, on May 7, 2008, his second daughter Juno and first son Rex were born as twins.
In 1996 he founded the successful band Coldplay with Chris Martin , Jonny Buckland and Guy Berryman .

The Coldplay album Parachutes is dedicated to Will's mother Sara, who lost the battle with cancer shortly before the album debuted in 2000.
Champion, who is usually the drummer of Coldplay, sang the song "Death Will Never Conquer" during the Viva la Vida tour , the version of which is on the 2009 live album LeftRightLeftRightLeft . He also contributed background vocals for the new album Mylo Xyloto , published in 2011 .
Will Champion also made a brief guest appearance on the Game of Thrones television series . At the “Red Wedding” (episode 3x09) he was seen as one of the musicians who sang the song “The Rains of Castamere”.
