action
Aaron Kurlander lives with his family in a shabby hotel in St. Louis during the Great Depression. In order to hide his real life, Aaron tells lies at school about himself and his family. When his mother is admitted to the hospital and his father is away on business, the 12-year-old is suddenly on his own.
Reviews
“Sepia tones and the scope camera determine the sometimes very dark events of the film, whose fairytale-like ending corresponds too closely to the common Hollywood clichés. A little annoying in ideology and disappointing because the central father-son conflict does not find a convincing solution. "
