action

Two young men from Hamburg cannot cope with their lives. One is called Fragetti and everyone just calls it spaghetti . In the workshop of his TV shop, Spaghetti tries to repair used radio and television sets, but he often fails. Then he throws the devices out of the window. The other man, Jagger , an apparently mentally retarded man, is unemployed and still lives with his aunt. He is lazy and prefers to read Fix and Foxi magazines.

Meanwhile, spaghetti receives stolen goods , two hundred televisions, from his old friend Krischan from the Hamburg neighborhood . Jagger also gets into trouble. His aunt throws him out of the apartment and he moves to the main train station, where he now "lives". Jagger and spaghetti get to know each other there. The two unlucky ones are planning a huge coup. But despite the big sayings that Jagger knocks, the situation for the two of them is getting worse. Jagger and spaghetti can't do anything together.

background

The cinema distributor of the film is said to have been enthusiastic about Jagger and Spaghetti , but when he was still looking for suitable marketing for the film's theatrical release, Stephan Schwartz, one of the two main actors of the film, had "a fateful idea", such as the webzine Zauberspiegel- Reported online . “He had himself photographed cross-legged on the radiator of a Rolls-Royce and launched the report that he had sent his film to the Indian guru Bhagwan , who had returned the favor with a Rolls-Royce . In fact, the photo attracted a lot of attention in the Bild newspaper . But that didn't benefit the film, it just harmed Stephan Schwartz. ”The subsequent theatrical release of the film was unsuccessful. When it was later broadcast on television, Jagger and Spaghetti received good reviews.

Reviews

“Two young men who cannot cope with life try to land a big coup, but fall for it. Large-scale, but flat and sterile staged comedy whose gags don't really ignite. "
