Tommy and Rosie are a gangster couple - very much in love and pretty crazy. After an 18-month jail sentence for an armed robbery, Tommy is released and takes a job at a company that has meanwhile employed his girlfriend Rosie. But he is not really happy with this situation and the tight salary. He always looks envious and angry at the wealthy mafiosi in his neighborhood, who he thinks are actually only fat and old men who only live from their reputation.
His anger is heightened by the fact that they often beat and humiliated his father because he was in arrears with a Mafia loan that he needed for a shop that his mother and brother now run. Tommy skips work to watch Mafioso Salvatore "Sammy the bull" Gravano testify as a key witness against the Mafia or his boss John Gotti and mention, among other things, where their social clubs are and that they are forbidden there To carry weapons with you.
