Silvio Heinevetter (born October 21, 1984 in Bad Langensalza ) is a German handball goalkeeper who plays for the Bundesliga club MT Melsungen .
Career
society
As one of the greatest German goalkeeping talents in men's handball, Heinevetter moved from 1. SV Concordia Delitzsch to SC Magdeburg in 2005 . In his second season with the club, he replaced Johannes Bitter, who had migrated to HSV Hamburg, as a regular goalkeeper. The SCM then extended the contract with him for two years (until 2009). On November 12, 2010, he extended his contract with the Füchsen, for whom he has played since 2009, to 2014, from August 2013 to 2018 and from December 2016 to 2020. In 2014 he won the DHB Cup with the Füchsen . In 2015 and 2016 he was club world champion . He won the EHF Cup with the Foxes in 2015 and 2018 . On April 8, 2019, it was announced that he was leaving Füchse Berlin at the end of the 2019/20 season after eleven years and switching to MT Melsungen .
National team
National coach Heiner Brand made him Germany national player in 2006. He made his international debut on June 10, 2006 in Mannheim against Spain . Heinevetter was part of the German team that won the bronze medal at the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro. For this he received the silver bay leaf on November 1, 2016 . For the European Championship 2018 he was appointed to the 20-man squad by national coach Christian Prokop , who did the preparation. On January 7th, he was appointed to the final 16-man squad and took part in the 2018 European Championship. At the handball world championship in Germany and Denmark in 2019 , he finished fourth with the DHB team. The game for third place was lost against the French 25:26. He has played 192 games so far in which he scored 3 goals.
