Nicola Undritz

Nicola Undritz , also Undritz-Cope (born November 24, 1960 ) is a German film editor .

Life

Nicola Undritz initially worked in various professions such as typesetter and teacher of German as a foreign language. In 1985/86 she completed an internship in the area of copying and film editing . She then worked as an assistant editor for various cinema and television films. Among other things, she was the assistant of Dagmar Hirtz , in whose directorial work she later acted several times as editor.

Undritz has been working as a freelance film editor since 1996. She was nominated twice for the Femina Film Prize awarded at the Berlinale : 2006 for the political satire Bye Bye Berlusconi! and 2008 for the feature film The Things Between Us .

From April 2012 to April 2016, Undritz was a board member of the Bundesverband Filmschnitt Editor eV She is also a member of the German Film Academy . She lives in Berlin.
