Help, we're offline! is a German television film that was broadcast for the first time on October 27, 2016 on ZDF .

action

In a Berlin family, the father hangs on the smartphone, the daughter chats and the son is addicted to mobile games. The mother decides to collect all cell phones and notebooks and to follow a digital diet for four weeks. The tube TV is switched on again and calls are made via the landline . This is very difficult for family members: Father Klaus has problems with his work as a system administrator , the friends of the young people turn away. The approach of the individual people is positive. The neighbors of the settlement find out about the experiment and take part. Even the television and the press report on this "bizarre".

After a while, the mother decides to return the equipment. There were some innovations at that time: The daughter Marie wrote her flame a letter and father Klaus is no longer available for work after work. The mother asks herself: "How did we manage that before?"

criticism

"This challenge to online addiction deserves more bite, but it is a really nice family comedy."
