Pig number four. A Niederbayernkrimi is the title of a German television film by Bayerischer Rundfunk , which premiered on June 29, 2010 at the Munich Film Festival . It belongs to the series of local crime stories of the Bavarian Broadcasting Corporation.

action

In the small town of Niedernussdorf in Lower Bavaria , a wire-haired dachshund finds the severed finger of a male person. This calls Chief Inspector Lederer from neighboring Straubing to the scene. He finds out that the finger was bitten off by a pig and concludes from this that a man must have been killed recently in Niedernussdorf and fed to pigs. The local policewoman Gisela Wegmeyer has nothing to do with this theory, she believes in an accident.

Tensions arise between the two police officers when Lederer's suspicion falls on the pig farmers Matthias and Anne Berner. Then the remains of a fire with an artificial hip joint are discovered in a forest. This seems to confirm the existence of a corpse and the police are intensifying their investigations. Gisela suspects that Monika Baumgartner's elderly mother-in-law, who is supposed to be on the cure, is no longer alive. When it turns out that the ashes found in the forest clearly came from an old woman, her suspicions are proven correct. In order not to lose Mathilda Baumgartner's pension, they wanted to feed the old woman to the pigs, but Gerhard Baumgartner had tried to protect his wife's body from it, when sow number four had bitten off his finger. Ultimately, his son burned the body in the forest. Police officer Gisela Wegmeyer is just horrified.
